Tam Tran (PhD) – CHAIRMAN, CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER
Tam worked for BHP Research for seven years, developing processes for producing battery-grade electrolytic manganese dioxide. He joined the University of New South Wales in 1987, becoming Professor in Minerals Process Engineering and Director of the Centre for Minerals Engineering. In 2007 he left for Asia to work in mineral development projects on behalf of LG International and Korea Chemicals, and joined Chonnam National University in Korea to become Professor in Energy and Resources Engineering. Tam returned to Australia in 2019 to focus on optimising EcoMag’s commercialisation of the magnesium extraction technology he co-invented, and to drive ongoing product development. He continues to hold the position of Professorial Fellow at UNSW Sydney.
Shaun Triner – EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR & GENERAL MANAGER
Shaun is a Metallurgist and member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy with over 35 years operational, management and global logistics experience in major resource and manufacturing organisations in Western Australia. Over the last ten years, he has developed organisational controls, developed and implemented management systems, served on compliance committees and worked closely with government regulators. Shaun brings a wealth of commercial expertise to his role as General Manager of EcoMag.
Kylie Gray – NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Kylie started her career as a management cadet with Myer spending a further 10 years in various management positions with fashion chains in Australia and the UK before shifting into the property development and project management industry for 20 years as Administration Manager – Finance and Human Resources with Caverstock Group. Focusing on ensuring finance and human resources functions align with and facilitate business goals Kylie also serves on EcoMag’s Remuneration and Audit Committees. Kylie believes strongly in community service, volunteering as treasurer on community-based childcare Board of Management and more recently as Peer and Group Support Facilitator with Multiple Sclerosis Limited.
Tony Crimmins (BE ME MBA) – CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Tony Crimmins has an extensive background in business development and technology commercialisation having listed 18 companies, including BluGlass Limited, Jatenergy Limited and Abundant Produce Limited. He identifies breakthrough projects offering outstanding potential value to shareholders, develops their businesses, and guides them through listing and business expansion. Tony previously worked as an environmental engineer and business development manager in Asia, as a general and project manager, and in the commercialisation of technology-based products and services. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Abundant Produce Limited (ASX: ABT).
Jody Cellar – PRINCIPAL ENGINEER
Jody is a chemical and environmental engineer with 18 years of professional experience in mining operations, and municipal and industrial water treatment. She offers project development and leadership expertise with a track record of driving continuous process improvement and value generation. Jody is passionate about waste reduction and sustainable development. As Principal Engineer for EcoMag, Jody has led the engineering design and environmental approval work for the proposed 80,000 tonne per year magnesium extraction and processing plant in Karratha.
Brett Crowley – COMPANY SECRETARY
Brett is a solicitor and a former Partner of Ernst & Young (Australia and Hong Kong) and KPMG (Hong Kong) and a former Senior Legal Member of the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal. An experienced chairman, finance director and company secretary of ASX-listed companies, Brett offers over 30 years’ experience in advising emerging companies with particular expertise in taxation, corporate strategy, structuring, capital raising and commercial negotiations.
